Understanding God’s Grace- Ephesians
People today are very concerned about their self worth, also known as self-esteem, value or identify. In fact, there is a proliferation of self-help resources. The problem is that most of these resources place the focus on finding the answer to these important issues within ourselves. This is also known as Humanism. Unfortunately, what Humanism overlooks is that the real source of truth comes from God himself. We can rest assured that the truth provided by God in Ephesians will answer all those important concerns about our identity, our value and our worth.

Why Is Easter One Of The Most Celebrated Holidays On The Planet?
Approximately 2000 years ago, an event happened in Jerusalem that changed the course of human history. Of course, it was the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Surprisingly today, there are a number of people that doubt that Jesus Christ ever existed. They doubt that Jesus was a historical person. They doubt that he did what the Bible says he did. None of their doubts can be substantiated, however. In fact, it is just the opposite. There was more written about Jesus than anyone in history. Watch this video to learn more about Jesus and why Easter is one of the most celebrated holidays on the planet.

Understanding Our Blessings- Ephesians
At the conclusion of this message, you will have a deeper understanding of some of the blessings that God has bestowed on us, as listed in Ephesians 1:1-14. We were given these blessings as a result of what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross. We can be thankful that we are allowed to know them, to understand them and thereby able to live them.

Alive In Christ- Ephesians
The Apostle Paul tells us that we used to live in sin, that we used to be spiritually dead. We used to cut God completely out of our lives. We would rather depend on ourselves and use our own resources to run our lives. Our conscience was our own moral barometer. Unfortunately, the conscience is not reliable. It is not objective. It is tied to our own value system. So what is thought to be correct, good or true, etc. may or may not be the case. If not, we end up on the path of sin. This message will explain how and why true Believers are now “alive in Christ.”

Unity In The Body- Ephesians
The church is called the body of Christ. As the body of Christ we are part of a living organism. We are Jesus’ hands, his feet, his voice in the world today. As with any living organism, we are all connected together just like a living body. Once we find out what our function or job is in the body we can go and do it. Through that, we maintain unity in the church and become congruent with God’s plan for our lives.

A Mystery Revealed – Ephesians
We know through Scripture that God accomplishes his purpose by controlling human history. However, we are often ignorant of what God is doing. So when appropriate, God provides information “progressively” through the Scriptures. Each time he does that is called a Mystery Revealed. A Mystery Revealed is something that was not known prior to God revealing it. As each of us begins to understand what is being revealed in the Book of Ephesians and how it applies to us, we will begin to promote unity in the Church, the Body of Christ, no matter where we attend and serve in the Church today.

How God Changes Us – Ephesians
How does God change us to be more like Christ? Paul explained this in his prayer for the Ephesian believers. Paul wanted those early Christians to implement what they had learned so he prayed. As it was for them, so it is for us. It requires God to change us. This message explains the actual steps that Paul asked God to achieve in them.

Walking The Walk – Ephesians
In the past three chapters, Paul has been talking about Christian doctrine, Christian identity and how God has recreated us. God wants us to act like the new person he has created us to be. He wants his standards to be our standards; his purposes to be our purposes; his nature to become our nature. This is a change from how we’ve been living. It’s not a quick process. This message can help us however, understand how to live the Christian life.

Jesus’ Plan For The Church – Ephesians
Jesus has revealed his plan to grow the Church. He wants us to use that plan. That is the only plan. This message can help us understand our part in his plan so that we can be more effectively used in building up the Church.

Renewal – Ephesians
This message is about how the Body of Christ is designed to function with every part working together with Christ in full control. Each part of the body doing what is was designed to do. Each believer abiding in Christ. Each Believer serving others in the Church. That is what we’re all called to do. This message will exhort us all to be involved in this great work and use our spiritual gifts.

Off With The Old – Ephesians
The Old Self loves to dwell in the stench of bitterness, anger, slander, and thievery to name a few. The New Self understands that kindness and tenderness towards others is the best expression of the grace which God has given us through Jesus Christ.

Walking In Love – Ephesians
To live the Christian life we must love like God. To help us do that we must depend on the Holy Spirit’s power. We must avoid the world’s way of love, which is expressed in sexual sin and greed. We do that by pleading the promises of God with thanksgiving. When we do sin, we confess it immediately so that God can cleanse us and resume fellowship with us.

Living In Light – Ephesians
From the beginning of the Bible to the end, God is depicted as light in many different ways. But overall God as light carries with it two basic qualities of God, truth and holiness. The Apostle Paul put it this way, to live as people of light means to live in God’s truth and in his holiness. To do that means to maintain ongoing fellowship with God. This message will help us better understand how to do that – how to “walk in the light as he is in the light.”

Walking In Wisdom- Ephesians
Each of us have opportunities to give back to God. How do we do that you might ask? By working with other people with the opportunities presented to us. Let’s take all of these trials we have, all the things that are going on in our life, and let’s turn them around from defeat into victory through Christ.

Filled With The Spirit- Ephesians
This message talks about the necessity of being filled by the Holy Spirit. The Apostle Paul has previously emphasized our relationship with the Holy Spirit and digs even deeper into it in these verses from Ephesians. We cannot have any hope of living the Christian life without the presence and dependance on the Holy Spirit.

Husbands and Wives – Ephesians
In Ephesians 5:21-33, Paul instructs husbands to love their wives as they love themselves. Wives are to respect their husbands. Notice that wives are not commanded to love their husbands, but they are commanded to respect them. That is because a man’s primary need is to be respected whereas a woman’s primary need is to be loved. Men and women need both to be sure. Listen to this message in it’s entirety to understand this balance and how it involves submitting to one another.

Children – Ephesians
When we read in the Bible, “Children, obey your parents”, it is not just a recommendation that one might see from a parenting pamphlet or book that we might buy at Barnes & Noble or Walmart. The Bible adds the qualifier, “unto the Lord.” Then it gives the reason, “for this is right.” It is not just an appeal to our cultural customs, it is one of the basic laws of life given to us by God. Obeying our parents is not just an “action” that God requires, it is an attitude.

The Workplace – Ephesians
In Ephesians, Paul talks about submission to authority. Two weeks ago, we learned about submission in marriage relationships. Last week, we learned about children submitting to parents authority. In this message, we take it out of the house and into the workforce as we learn how to submit when it comes to our bosses and employees.

Spiritual Warfare – Ephesians
Ephesians 6:10-17 describes how the Lord has equipped us to deal with temptation. If we review these verses regularly over the next 30 days we will have the tools in our memory and be able to bring them out when we need them most. The Lord Jesus has empowered us with spiritual weapons that will lead us through the spiritual warfare we encounter every day.

Prayer – Ephesians
In this message we continue on the subject of spiritual warfare and the spiritual weapons provided to us. Specifically, we are talking about the most powerful weapon, which is prayer. We discuss among other things, praying in the Holy Spirit. Praying in the Holy Spirit is to maintain a direct line of communication with God. No army goes into battle without communicating with the generals. Praying in the Holy Spirit is that key essential for success in our prayer life. The power of God through the Holy Spirit is what we absolutely have to have to stay connected while we are praying through the battle.
